Summary
This proposal describes BGP unnumbered support over VLAN subinterfaces by allowing IPv6 link-local-only operation on VLAN subinterfaces and accepting both canonical and short subinterface names.
Motivation
BGP unnumbered is commonly used for point-to-point routing adjacencies. VLAN subinterfaces should be able to use the same link-local behavior as routed interfaces, with consistent configuration, neighbor synchronization, CLI output, and validation.
