Mirantis Berlin, Germany · Remote
Senior Software Engineer Mar 2022 – Present
k0rdent (2024–present); Mirantis Container Cloud (2022–2024).
- Design and implement Go APIs, Kubernetes APIs (CRDs), and controllers across k0rdent, including enterprise hosted control plane support.
- Owned backup and recovery design and implementation for k0rdent Cluster Management, providing Kubernetes APIs that automated backup scheduling and resource selection.
- Designed telemetry collection for air-gapped clusters, enabling offline operation and reducing storage overhead through local data aggregation.
- Redesigned and built controller-based bootstrapping for Container Cloud, replacing restart-from-scratch recovery with automatic retries and diagnostic logging.
- Owned extensible Day-2 maintenance automation from API design through release, replacing manual per-machine playbook execution with centrally managed Ansible operations and per-node results.
Ozon Moscow, Russia
Staff Software Engineer Apr 2021 – Dec 2021
Senior Software Engineer Sep 2019 – Apr 2021
Software Engineer Feb 2019 – Sep 2019
Core Platform: Apr 2020–Dec 2021; Product Engineering: Feb 2019–Mar 2020.
- Co-developed service discovery that helped establish Ozon’s Core Platform, removing an ingress hop for thousands of microservices across three data centers, including services handling 1 million requests/s.
- Co-implemented endpoint subsetting to reduce client connections, goroutines, and memory use; designed and implemented xDS integration to extend direct routing to Java and C# services, including search.
- Optimized Go serialization and memory efficiency through custom Protobuf encoding/decoding, data-layout improvements, and smaller response payloads; helped standardize improvements across Go services using latency and throughput measurements.
- Owned the standard Go framework and shared libraries, enabling single-command service scaffolding with observability and discovery; built Protobuf dependency tooling to remove manual code-generation setup. Supported platform services through on-call and incident response.
- Led three engineers during the final months of the role, combining hands-on development with planning, design reviews, and mentoring.
- Developed A/B testing features and owned referral-reward jobs that calculated and credited customer points.
Zuzex Rostov-on-Don, Russia
