Release ssdtools 2.7.0 #190
Description
Release branch: joethorley/cran-2.7.0, branched off poissonconsulting/dev at 4bd4a81.
Deadline
ggtext is scheduled for CRAN archival on 2026-09-12. The published ssdtools 2.6.0 still lists ggtext in its Imports, so ssdtools would be archived alongside it unless 2.7.0 is accepted on CRAN before that date. That is 13 days from 2026-08-30, against a CRAN review that typically takes several days.
The ggtext removal is already on this branch via dev, so submission does not depend on bcgov#483 being merged. That merge matters only for tagging a release that reflects what shipped, and can follow acceptance.
xConfirm ggtext is absent from Imports in the tarball actually submitted

ssdtools 2.7.0 was accepted and published on CRAN on 2026-08-31, ahead of the 2026-09-12 ggtext archival date.
Done since acceptance:
v2.7.0at 5ce3930 (the SHA recorded inCRAN-SUBMISSION) and published the release on poissonconsulting/ssdtools with the 2.7.0 NEWS as the notes.release-2.7.0branch. Release ssdtools 2.7.0, removing the ggtext dependency bcgov/ssdtools#483 was merged before the last six commits landed ondev, sobcgov:mainis missing the NEWS regrouping andCRAN-SUBMISSION.devto 2.7.0.9000 with fledge and taggedv2.7.0.9000. fledge harvested the four release merge commits into the new NEWS section, so those were trimmed back to the standard "Switching to development version" bullet.Remaining, all gated on bcgov#484 being merged: the matching v2.7.0 release on bcgov, and fast-forwarding
