Connection refused on localhost

Hello,
I've implemented the pod and used the example to configure the client in my project. Although I have redis running on my Mac (installed using homebrew) and redid is running I keep getting a connection refused. Changing localhost to 127.0.0.1 or mij local ip results in the same connection refused. I also downloaded the example project and I get the same.

Via terminal I can ping redid and I receive a pong back.

Any idea what could be the issue?
