Re: Secure Development on Pantheon
Priority: Low/Medium/High (choose one, remove the other options)
Issue Description:
Clarify that Secure Runtime Access (SRA) does not apply to Redis / Object Cache
Description
This PR clarifies the scope of Secure Runtime Access (SRA) in the documentation and adds an FAQ entry explaining that SRA restrictions apply specifically to MySQL/database access, Git, and SFTP, and do not apply to Redis (Object Cache).
Motivation / Context
Customers enabling SRA have asked whether Redis traffic is gated behind SRA tunnels/session requirements. Clarifying this upfront prevents confusion during security audits, compliance checks, and launch readiness reviews.
Proposed Changes
- Added an FAQ item under the Secure Runtime Access / Secure Integration FAQ section clarifying that Redis is an ephemeral in-memory cache secured via per-binding password authentication (
AUTH) and dynamic ports, not SRA SSH tunneling.
Related Issues / Tickets
- Relates to customer inquiries regarding SRA scope and Redis connectivity.
