+or-setting ofIgnoreUnrecognizedVMOptionscontrols unknown options across the complete VM argument list, including options before the flag. For example,-XX:+UnknownOption -XX:+IgnoreUnrecognizedVMOptionsis accepted. An incoming JNIJavaVMInitArgs.ignoreUnrecognized=trueremains effective even with-XX:-IgnoreUnrecognizedVMOptions; conversely,-XX:+IgnoreUnrecognizedVMOptionsenables ignoring when the JNI field is false.Malformed values of options parsed by Native Image remain errors. Strict mode also continues to reject recognized but unsupported Java VM options.
-Xverifyis parsed and validated only whenStrictRuntimeJavaOptionsis enabled.Both signs of
UnlockDiagnosticVMOptionsare accepted for HotSpot command-line compatibility. Native Image currently has no diagnostic warnings to unlock.
