I came up with a steno system for the German language, based off of palantype, relying on qwerty-style keyboards instead of a steno machine:

The project has grown quite large, even though I am still the only user (and developer). The website contains a (not yet quite finished) interactive tutorial of 35 lessons that teach steno with that system. Given the still very limited alternatives for german steno typing, I hope this will be very useful for a lot of people and contribute to the mission of the open steno project to make steno typing more accessible and useful for more people.
