Jamie Morris, MS (they/them)

Co-Founder & CTO @ Blend

I build compliance infrastructure for NFAs and the product providers they connect to. Users verify once, and Blend routes that verification to each provider under contract, so nobody re-onboards per product.

Previously Frontend Lead at Across Protocol and UMA at Risk Labs, where I spent 3 years building intent-based systems, cross-chain interoperability, and high-reliability onchain money movement.

Impact

  • Lead protocol design, architecture, engineering execution, and security processes at Blend
  • Designed Blend's non-custodial account architecture, which provisions a smart account per user and scopes automation through permissioned modules
  • Designed Blend's KYC passthrough for sharing verifications between NFAs and product providers
  • Built Blend's cross-chain execution layer for routing and rebalancing across chains
  • Helped ship and scale Across Protocol, contributing to systems that carried $30B+ across 18M+ transactions
  • Contributed to the UMA Optimistic Oracle, which resolves markets for applications like Polymarket

What I Work On

  • Compliance orchestration and consented data sharing between counterparties
  • Account abstraction
  • Protocol design and implementation
  • Intent-based systems and routing
  • Cross-chain and interoperability infrastructure
  • Stablecoins, FX, and onchain yield systems
  • Security-first production engineering with 12+ third-party audits across Sherlock, Cantina, and Zellic

Background

Computer science and quantitative finance, then six years shipping systems that carry real money and get diligenced by banks and regulators.

Education

  • M.Sc. in Quantitative Finance
  • M.Sc. in Computer Science
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science and Economics
