CubicSDR does not see audio devices in Debian/testing system with pipewire #1040
I was using CubicSDR on my Debian/testing machine successfully for some time. However a few months ago it stopped detecting the audio device. I have filled the Debian bug report https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1084177 but got no answer up to now.
All other applications are working correctly (either using audio via alsa or via pulseaudio or via pipewire).
I have run
( strace CubicSDR ) > /tmp/strace.dump
Attached is the result. CubicSDR tries to access the audio device via alsa, pulseaudio and pipewire, but for certain unknown reason all those attempts fail. strace.dump.gz
Same here on Bed13 stable. get many: 'RtApi::getDeviceInfo: deviceId argument not found' messages with each audio device it scans. maybe also related to: #1038 ?
Using a RTL-SDR device with CubicSDR.
would also like to use CubicSDR over any other.
Cheers,
Roger
Having the exact same issue with raspberry pi 5 and raspberry pi 4. We can see data coming in with a RTLSDR and HackRF one, but when we attempt to save any recordings it doesn't see an audio device, and thus fails.
