In this step by step suggestion, as in this one https://askubuntu.com/questions/1162974/wireless-usb-adapter-0bdac811-realtek-semiconductor-corp, some fundamental dependencies are missing, among which certainly bc. While I'm not sure linux-header/kernel-devel gets downloaded thanks to dkms and build-essential... But on the other hand the instructions speak for themselves: "Before build this driver make sure make, gcc, linux-header/kernel-devel, bc and git have been installed." |
