Replaces the Init 2026 promo with an announcement for the new Console at https://new.appwrite.io.

Approach

Follows the single-slot convention every announcement has used since 2024 — a new promo replaces its predecessor and the old asset is removed. Structurally identical to 60e7ba5 (which swapped the State of Appwrite survey for Init), down to the same +10/-10 diff shape.

File Change
src/lib/images/promos/new-console.png New promo image, 2400×1260
src/lib/images/promos/init-2026.png Removed
src/routes/(console)/bottomAlerts.ts Promo swapped in place

No new components, no new stores, no feature flags.

The bottom alert is the console's announcement channel — every product/event announcement since 2024 has gone through this file (Init, State of Appwrite, Presence API, Relationships GA, Terraform, Webhooks, Claude plugin). Top banners (HeaderAlert / GradientBanner) are reserved for account and billing state.

Introducing the new Appwrite Console
Rebuilt from the ground up. Faster, cleaner, and everything you're working on comes with you.

The CTA carries ?ref=old-console&source=promo_card so conversions from this surface can be attributed.

Before merging

Timing: this removes the Init promo, which is scheduled for August 31 – September 4. Worth confirming the Init campaign is finished before this lands.

Test plan

  • bun run format — clean
  • bun run lint — 0 errors
  • bun run check — no errors in changed files
  • Destination URL set to https://new.appwrite.io
  • Verified rendering locally against the live console
  • Init campaign confirmed finished

Adds a bottom modal alert inviting users to the new Console, following the
same shape as the Init 2026 announcement (60e7ba5): a single
BottomModalAlertItem with a promo image, gated on isCloud.

The card is added alongside the Init promo rather than replacing it, since
Init runs August 31 - September 4. The bottom alert renders them as a
carousel. Drop the Init block to make this a straight replacement once that
campaign ends.

Tip

Git integration provides automatic deployments with optional PR comments

Follows the single-slot convention every announcement has used: the new
promo replaces its predecessor and the old asset is removed, matching
60e7ba5 which swapped the State of Appwrite survey for Init.

Important Files Changed

Filename Overview

src/lib/images/promos/init-2026.png Removes the superseded Init 2026 promotional image.

Reviews (4): Last reviewed commit: "feat(console): use utm params the source..." | Re-trigger Greptile

new.appwrite.io redirects to the appwrite.io root, so link there directly.
Copy suggestion from Atharva.
The console's source handler reads ref, utm_source, utm_medium and
utm_campaign and posts them to /console/sources. A bare `source` param is
not read anywhere, so it was dead weight.

utm_medium distinguishes the surface, so a banner or navbar entry added
later can be compared against the card. An explicit param is required
because the handler discards same-origin referrers, and cloud.appwrite.io
matches that check.
