Summary

  • Activate MSYS2/MinGW DevKit via ridk on Windows (or fallback to pre-installed C:/msys64), prepending MSYS2 GNU make and MinGW GCC tools to PATH and GITHUB_PATH.
  • Add drive junction mappings (/C -> C:\, /D -> D:\) and /etc/fstab entries so make/MSYS2 can resolve Windows drive paths without failing on /C/... targets generated by mkmf.rb.
  • Fall back to standard bundle install if rv clean-install fails, with transparent status reporting in the step summary.
  • Classify rv native extension compilation failures as deterministic in scripts/retry.sh to avoid waiting 10 minutes through exponential backoffs when a compile error occurs.
  • Add bigdecimal (4.1.3, which requires native C extension compilation) to the test-action-with-bundler-cache workflow job across Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows.
