Every virtiofsd that the cloud-hypervisor backend starts used virtiofsd's default cache policy and thread pool, with no way to change them. VirtiofsdOptions holds three virtiofsd settings: - cache: the --cache policy (auto, always, never, metadata). With never and metadata, virtiofsd opens files with direct I/O, and the guest then refuses a shared mmap of such a file (ENODEV) unless virtiofsd allows it, so these policies also pass --allow-mmap. - threadPoolSize: the --thread-pool-size. - allowDirectIO: pass --allow-direct-io, so that a guest O_DIRECT open reaches the host file. CHVirtualMachineManager takes the options at init, and CHVirtualMachineInstance.Configuration carries them to the virtiofsd processes started at boot and on hotplug. The default passes no extra flag, so the virtiofsd command line does not change.
