Project conventions should travel with the repository rather than depend on individual agent memory.
How
Add a root AGENTS.md covering the CLI purpose and shared core, package/executable names, Markdown and filesystem invariants, coding conventions, verification commands, version coordination, packaging, and release safeguards. Link to existing source-of-truth documentation and workflows.
Tests
Tests: git diff --cached --check passed; all 17 local documentation link targets exist. Runtime tests not run (documentation-only change).
