The UPI feature is not yet available in the Android Buy SDK. #807
We are integrating Shopify checkout in our mobile applications using the Checkout Sheet Kit and the Mobile Buy SDK.
We noticed that UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is not available in the Android checkout flow.
However:
UPI works correctly in Web checkout
UPI is also available in iOS Checkout with Sheet Kit
This issue appears to be specific to Android.
Environment
Checkout integration: Checkout Sheet Kit (Android latest version 3.5.3)
iOS
Version: 2025-07 (latest)
Android
Mobile Buy SDK version: 2025-04 (latest)
Issue
When using the Android Mobile Buy SDK with Checkout Sheet Kit, UPI does not appear as a payment option in the checkout, even though it is enabled and visible in web checkout and iOS.
@chatterjeeshekhar sorry for the delay. still nothing of use. We got a reply from Razorpay stating:
We have reviewed your concern and would like to inform you that we are unable to retrieve any account details associated with the email address [provided]. As you have shared that you are not a merchant, we will proceed to close this ticket.
Please request the merchant to raise a ticket using their registered Merchant ID (MID), registered email address, or contact number. This will help us in accessing the necessary account details, investigating the specific issue, and providing a resolution efficiently.
I'm thinking the next best approach is to contact Razorpay directly as advised in the email. This should give us a better understanding on whether this is our issue or theirs. I looked into this a bit more and I still can't seem to replicate locally.

This may have something to do with Razorpay's handling of WebViews for Android. Our team will reach out to Razorpay to gain some clarity. Stay tuned.
