Use normalized RPM matrix kernel versions in rolling snapshot archive names. Keep vendor suffixes in package metadata and leave Ubuntu DKMS independent of the runner kernel.
Build Ubuntu 20.04 and 24.04 DEB artifacts in release-specific job containers with explicit kernel headers. Publish one bundle per Ubuntu LTS target and keep the README independent of matrix versions.
Do not install sparse or build smatch in jobs that disable both. Check for each tool only when the corresponding analysis is enabled.
Mark the mounted GitHub workspace as a safe Git directory inside Ubuntu package containers. This keeps tracked source enumeration and version metadata available to make dpkg.
