Add a Body tracking device page that walks through bringing VIVE Ultimate Trackers up with VIVE Hub for Linux (install, udev, pairing, map building) and streaming them into Isaac Teleop with the vive_se3_tracker plugin (build with VUT_SDK_DIR, CloudXR, plugin run, se3_printer check, MCAP record/replay), plus collection naming, frames, timestamps, configuration and troubleshooting.

Link the page from the Body tracking toctree and from the VIVE Ultimate Tracker row of the device table.

📝 Walkthrough

Adds a VIVE Ultimate Tracker guide for Linux x86_64 and arm64. The guide covers VIVE Hub setup, building and running the vive_se3_tracker plugin, pose data, MCAP recording and replay, configuration, troubleshooting, and licensing. The device setup list and body-tracking index link to the guide.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~10 minutes

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to fab11

The replay instructions can expose tracker visualization to the network, while two setup commands mislead users. Correct these instructions before merging.

- Run the VUT SDK demo from sdk/examples, relative to VIVEHub-Linux.
- Bind the replay viewer to 127.0.0.1 and note that the default
0.0.0.0 exposes it to the network.
- Drop the --loop option, which replay_se3_vive no longer accepts
(replay loops until Ctrl+C), and list --port.
- Correct the collections-file fallback to the private
/tmp/vive_se3_tracker-<uid>/ folder the plugin now uses.

Summary

One new documentation issue; no new blockers. Earlier findings are fixed, and CI is green. Checked the complete diff against the implementation and HTC’s setup instructions; hardware execution was unavailable.

Legend: 🚫 BLOCKER = merge-blocking | 💡 SUGGESTION = meaningful improvement | 🧹 NIT = precise small correction

Severity Finding
🚫 BLOCKER none
💡 SUGGESTION vive_ultimate_tracker.rst:195 — Steps 7 and 8 use cd IsaacTeleop/, but the linked source-build guide clones into IsaacCapture/. Following that setup makes both directory changes fail, leaving the relative executable paths unusable. Use the actual checkout path in both examples.
🧹 NIT none

Actionables (copy-paste-ready for implementation agents)

Validate these suggestions in context before applying them. Skip anything already addressed, incorrect, or not worth the churn.

  • docs/source/device/body_tracking/vive_ultimate_tracker.rst:195,210 — Replace both cd IsaacTeleop/ commands with the checkout path used by the source-build guide.

@august-yao-htc thanks for adding this!

We are moving on better organizing devices by categories. Can you help moving it to device/trackers? (trackers.rst can be moved into trackers/index.rst)

Per review, group the guide under a trackers category:

- Move device/trackers.rst to device/trackers/index.rst, add a toctree
for tracker device guides, and keep a compatibility page at the old
URL. Update every link to the reference page.
- Move the VIVE Ultimate Tracker guide from body_tracking/ into
trackers/ and point the device table at its new path.
- Use Isaac Capture naming in the guide, including the IsaacCapture/
checkout path used by the source-build guide.

To @jiwenc-nv,
Done in 20b41f1 — moved trackers.rst to trackers/index.rst (left a "moved" page at the old URL per docs/AGENTS.md) and put the guide under device/trackers/. The large diff on trackers.rst / trackers/index.rst is the move; content is unchanged apart from two relative links.

To @yanziz-nvidia ,
Thanks — switched to cd IsaacCapture/ and Isaac Capture naming in 20b41f1.
