Arthur Young

Arthur M. Young (1905–1995) — Bell-helicopter engineer, founder of the Institute for the Study of Consciousness, developer of the Geometry of Meaning. His framework gives formal scientific status to the third derivative (control, volition) and to the angular division of the circle that the measure formulae of physics and the signs of the zodiac share as their common foundation.

Dane Rudhyar

Dane Rudhyar (1895–1985) — French-American composer, painter, poet, and the principal architect of the humanistic and transpersonal turn in twentieth-century astrology. Working from a foundation in Theosophy and depth psychology (corresponding with Alice Bailey and Carl Jung's circle), he reformulated astrology away from the predict-events register and toward the language of the cycle — astrology as a structural map of the individual's process of becoming. His major books move from doctrinal foundation (Astrology of Personality, 1936) through the technical apparatus (Astrological Signs, Astrological Houses, Astrological Aspects) to the late synthesis on transformation and the trans-Saturnian planets.
