Calling Designers, Linux Ricers & Creative Minds! π¨π₯οΈ
PaperForge brings Wallpaper Engine Workshop scenes to Wayland and Linux desktops. While the CLI and core daemon are solid, we are currently planning the visual desktop GUI experience (paperforge-gui).
We are seeking creative visual design proposals, mockups, and UI wireframes from the community!
π What Needs Creative Vision?
- Wallpaper Grid & Scene Cards:
- How should animated wallpaper thumbnails look in a masonry or responsive grid?
- Thumbnail hover states: animated previews, title badges, workshop author tags, and resolution badges (1080p, 4K, Ultrawide).
- Per-Monitor Output Selector:
- Visual display representation (e.g.
DP-1 and HDMI-A-1 side-by-side) to easily select which monitor receives which scene.
- Control Bar & Micro-Interactions:
- Audio mute/unmute toggle, pause wallpaper on battery, and FPS/hardware stats.
- Clean, minimal Linux desktop aesthetic that looks at home on Wayland (Hyprland, GNOME, Sway, KDE).
