When a player (usually a BARb) starts the game with an empty queue, a base is generated for them so they aren't super behind everyone else who **did** plop down a base. This PR moves that generation also into the pregame build phase. So, when you place your commander you get a suggested base layout injected into your build queue. - You can then add to it by holding SHIFT and placing builds. - You can erase it by pressing STOP or placing a build without holding SHIFT. - Re-placing your start location will regenerate the suggestions, retaining whatever builds are currently within your queue within instant-build range. - suggested base layouts leaves a portion appropriate to build the cheapest factory. If you start the game like this, it'll just be added to your metal reserves which isn't the worst disadvantage during game start. https://youtu.be/IaIIYV3N1vM AI Disclosure: Used GPT 5.6 to help design and code the changes, and again for the refactor to use shared code in a common VFS.include script. I tested as I went when implementing the changes, looked over the code and it seemed alright. Then, the refactor. Then another round of testing.
