Support for compio asynchronous runtime #1128

Closed

Description

@0x676e67

compio is a thread-per-core asynchronous runtime with io_uring support, which means zero lock contention. For handling concurrent client requests, this is undoubtedly a massive force multiplier.

The initial phase of the compio-btls adaptation is now complete.

    Next, we should adapt http2 for Compio as an optional feature. Going with a Tokio-IO compatibility shim isn't really an option—it adds too much overhead and would be a massive hit to performance.
