HazSit for Non Injury MVA/MVC Incidents

1. Has there been an official change from NERIS/ULFSRI on adding non-injury MVAs/MVCs to the HazSit / Hazard Non-Chemical incident type list?
2. If so, is there a plan to update the Schematics on the wiki page to reflect any changes to the HazSit module to include non-injury MVAs/MVCs? We are in the middle of a NERIS End User series and having this information would be very helpful.

No, there does not appear to be an addition of non-injury MVCs to the incident type. Instead, the latest training videos show that you can add casualties / rescues regardless of the incident type.

Casualties include "injuries or deaths that occurred as a direct result of the incident". So, a MVC without injuries has incident type "Motor Vehicle Collision" without any nonfatal nor fatal injuries reported.

However, the "FAQs" page defines casualties very differently than their training video:

"Civilian casualties in NERIS are still defined as those harmed by fire or its byproducts. A deceased patient on a medical call or a fatality from a motor vehicle accident prior to fire department arrival would not be recorded as casualties in the system."

This statement seems to directly contradict the training video, so I'm not sure which is correct. However, I'm hoping it's the training video. NERIS, an all-hazards reporting system, would not be useful without being able to show where the worst crashes occur. Patients often die before we show up on scene. Surely that doesn't mean, 'because I didn't actually see them die, I have to mark zero casualties.' That would be ludicrous.
