The navigation bar at the top gives you tabs for Dashboard, Sponsorships, Composer, Benefits, Packages, and Notifications. The "More" dropdown has Finances, Sponsors, Programs, Legal Clauses, Assets, Clone Year, Active Year, and this guide.
Year pills across the top let you switch between years. The yellow dot marks the Active Year, which is the year used as the default throughout the UI (the Composer pulls benefits and packages from it, new sponsorships default to it, etc.). Change the active year from the Dashboard using the "Set Active Year" button, or go to <ahref="{% url 'manage_current_year' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">/sponsors/manage/current-year/ directly.

Year pills across the top let you switch between years. The yellow dot marks the Active Year, which is the year used as the default throughout the UI (the Composer pulls benefits and packages from it, new sponsorships default to it, etc.). Change it under More → Active Year or with the Dashboard's "Set Active Year" button. It normally moves to the next year after PyCon US: from June 1, every sponsor management page shows a reminder until it's changed. Programs (PyCon US, Foundation, PyPI, ...) and the order benefits are grouped in are managed under More → <ahref="{% url 'manage_programs' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">Programs.
The detail page also shows the sponsor's company info, contacts, benefits, contract status, and a notification history. Most actions branch off from this page.

The detail page also shows the sponsor's company info, contacts, benefits, contract status, and a notification history. Most actions branch off from this page. The timeline at the top shows the applied, approved, rejected, and finalized dates. Edit on the Sponsorship card changes the package, fee, and start/end dates in place while the sponsorship is unlocked. The Benefits section lists any benefits removed from the standard package, with an Add back button, and the add-benefit search shows every benefit for the year, marking those already on the sponsorship. History at the bottom is the same record as the Django admin's History page: status changes, edits, notifications sent from the admin, and contract events.
Search for an existing sponsor by name (live search, shows top 50 results) or create a new one inline. If you landed here from a sponsor's detail page, the sponsor is pre-selected and you skip straight to step 2.

Search for an existing sponsor by name (the list filters as you type and shows every sponsor, most recently sponsored first) or create a new one inline. If you landed here from a sponsor's detail page, the sponsor is pre-selected and you skip straight to step 2. A sponsor can only have one applied or approved sponsorship at a time: those sponsors show an "Applied in progress" or "Approved in progress" badge, and picking one stops you here with a link to the existing sponsorship.
When creating or editing a benefit, you set its name, description, internal value, program, year, packages, legal clauses, conflicting benefits, and whether it's package-only. After saving, you can add feature configurations that control how the benefit behaves:

When creating or editing a benefit, you set its name, description, internal value, program, year, packages, and flags such as package-only and standalone; each field shows the same help text as the Django admin. Legal clauses and conflicting benefits live in the collapsed Contract & Application Rules section at the bottom, which opens by itself when the benefit has any. In the composer, the ? next to a benefit shows its description: hover or tab to it, or click it to keep it open. After saving, you can add feature configurations that control how the benefit behaves:
<ahref="{% url 'manage_packages' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">Packages are the sponsorship tiers (Visionary, Sustainability, Maintaining, etc.). Each package has a name, year, fee amount, and a set of included benefits. Create and edit packages from the Packages tab.
<ahref="{% url 'manage_programs' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">Programs (under More) group benefits: PyCon US 2027, Foundation, PyPI, and so on. Create and rename them there, and use the arrows to set the order benefit groups appear in. Programs whose name includes an earlier year than the Active Year are tucked into a collapsed "Past-year programs" section; a program can only be deleted once no benefit uses it.
Cloning a year: When setting up a new sponsorship year, go to <ahref="{% url 'manage_clone_year' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">Clone Year (under More in the nav). Pick a source year and a target year, and it copies all packages and benefits over. You can then tweak the new year's config without touching the previous year's data.
The notification form lets you write a subject and body, pick which contact roles receive it (Primary, Administrative, Accounting, Manager), and preview the rendered email before sending.

The notification form lets you write a subject and body, pick which contact roles receive it (Primary, Administrative, Accounting, Manager), and preview the rendered email before sending. On a single sponsorship, each role lists the contacts it covers, and the line under the roles shows exactly who will receive the email. Someone holding several roles is emailed once.
Reusable templates: Go to <ahref="{% url 'manage_notification_templates' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">Notifications in the nav to create, edit, and delete saved templates. These show up as quick-fill options in the notification form so you don't have to rewrite common emails. The <ahref="{% url 'manage_notification_history' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">History tab shows every notification sent, who it went to, and when.

Reusable templates: Go to <ahref="{% url 'manage_notification_templates' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">Notifications in the nav to create, edit, duplicate, and delete saved templates. Give each template a Year (leave it blank for one you reuse every year) instead of putting the year in its name. The list shows this year's, last year's and evergreen templates, newest first; pick "All years" or a specific year to see older ones. Its Last Sent column shows when each template last went out and to how many sponsorships. Duplicate copies a template and opens the copy for editing. Templates show up as quick-fill options in the notification form, current year first. The <ahref="{% url 'manage_notification_history' %}" style="color:#3776ab;">History tab shows every notification sent, who it went to, and when.
Filter by asset type (text, image, file, response), related object (sponsor vs sponsorship), submission status, or search by internal name. Assets from expired or rejected sponsorships are automatically hidden. Companies with missing assets show a "Send Reminder" button that links to the notification page for that sponsorship.
On a sponsorship's detail page, the Required Assets section (collapsed by default) shows what the sponsor submitted: text and answers inline, images as a thumbnail with View and Download links. Pending assets past their due date are marked Overdue in red; ones due within 14 days are marked Due soon. Use Upload / Replace on a row, or Upload Assets in the section header, to submit assets on the sponsor's behalf. They are saved exactly as if the sponsor had submitted them, and the change is recorded in the sponsorship's admin history.
