gradle.properties does not get copied over

Hello,

I have a gradle/spring/java project I want to create using giter8. Everything worked well until I wanted to use gradle.properties file.

It is in <project-name>-templates.g8/src/main/g8/ together with the default.properties (g8 file), build.gradle (project file) and others.

After using sbt new this file is not in the final result. If I rename the file to anything else that does not end up with suffix .properties it gets copied over.

Any suggestions what I could do to get the project properties to copy over? Is there a setting I can give giter8 to only copy the file as is. Verbatim seems to be resolving post the load of the properties file.

I tested by adding a gradle.properties file to an existing template locally, but I wasn't able to reproduce this behavior using either the latest Giter8 or the latest sbt.

Hello, thank you. Good to know this is not intentional.

I tried reproducing it on non-corporate laptop (identical sdk current), but could not.

So far - bypassed by using filename gradle.$literal_properties$ and having literal_properties as properties.

Will have to hunt for the reason separately. Will post an update if I find out.
