Start and Stop commands runnable by backend servers?

Hello, I have stumbled onto your plugin looking for something that does exactly this. I am making on-demand servers to save resources.

I have a lobby server with portals made using WarpSystem, this is how players change server. These portals don't trigger a server change event or whatever, since it knows the server is offline. However, it can run a command, so I plan to hopefully have it execute /autoserver start when the command is ready (I built the 'dev' version, but the start didn't work).

So my question is: Will the start server command be available to the backend servers/will it work when executed from one?

Hi! Glad you had a chance to check out the plugin. At this stage, I don’t believe the /autoserver start command will work on the backend server. However, in the next phase of development, when I focus on the backend server plugin, I can look into adding this as a feature.

Heya, I can't build the project to a .jar. I am a developer, but not a Java one, I am at my wits end now lol.
I am hoping to use the start command that you've been working on, however, when I run the command, it says the CommandRunner class is missing. When I inspect the .jar, indeed, the common folder is missing. I have cloned your repo and built within VS Code + Java Support, is there anything specific to your project that needs to be done?

I understand your confusion. Your conclusion is right for why you are getting that error the class is missing when you build the project normally. It's often helpful to include dependencies in the same jar file. This is called a FatJAR or ShadowJar. This project is setup to use gradle as the build system. To build use ./gradlew shadowJar. This will produces a bunch of different .jar files. The one you are looking for is located in /velocity/build/libs.

If you want a build from me I'll release a beta of v1.4.0. There are still some things I want looking to polish up before official release.

Yeah, I think ill need to wait for you to make a release. I've been running the Gradle tasks for shadowing, building, and whatnot, but nothing has worked.
