@Try The git tag for this release is v0.92, not the usual opengothic-v1.0.*. Is this intentional? Is this going to be a regular thing going forward? I'm asking for downstream packaging purposes.

Somewhat intentional, yes: transitioning from appveyor (one responsible for previous tag format) to github-actions.
I wish to know how to adjust github-actions to emit tag format on old faction...

on win7 x64 work nice but long time loading. on win10 x64 crashes after first intro bink video.
problems: bad mountain climbing, only on rough edges. keyboard keys need to push twice, after action is changed, maybe need to clear keyboard cach, idk. bad ai when fighting npc vs npc, if npc is following you, often dies. fighting system need improvements too,
even scanveger to kill hard :)

by the way old bug with bows is present:

bowstring doesn't return to its resting position but stays drawn after you run out of arrows or the shooting action gets interrupted unexpectedly.
