We would like to expand this crate to cover other data-independent
timing modes, such as Intel's Data Operand Independent Timing Mode,
or DOITM, ideally with a common reusable API.
This takes the first step of removing `aarch64-*` from the name and also
allowing the crate to compile on other architectures.
Closes#1495
