The prompt/input lock caused by heavy main-thread work has been fixed, but I can still reproduce the large empty areas, including in the timeline. Both use virtua, and the same should happen soon with the just virtualized session list.
Virtualization made the UI significantly faster, but dynamically changing item heights during streaming can sometimes leave the virtualizer with stale size or position measurements.

We may be able to address this by improving measurement invalidation, ensuring stable keys, and remeasuring rows when streamed content changes. Or just accept this as a good trade-off ?

@bluelovers Closing this broad report as resolved/superseded.
The original input lock and main-thread stalls during streaming have been addressed through SSE delta batching, bounded update work, improved hydration/reconnect behavior, and virtualization/follow-mode fixes.
We are intentionally retaining virtualization: forcing full row remeasurement on every streamed update would risk reintroducing input stalls and scroll jumps. #626 will further reduce long-session memory and rendering pressure once merged, but remains tracked separately under #553.
No current reproduction of the persistent blank-region symptom is available. If it still occurs on a recent build, please open a focused issue with a reproducible session/workload and exact scroll conditions.
