The tool you are developing/debugging should use the XrmToolBoxPackage version of XTB. Use the working directory flag to use your build artefacts for the plugin. You will only see your plugin available. |

Uh oh!

I have read the page https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/documentation/for-developers/debug/ and followed the steps. As an example, I cloned the tool "Plugin Registration". I was a little unsecure regarding the Plugin Name specified in argument "plugin".
As a test, I simply copied the string from Plugin.cs > ExportMetadata > "Name" which is "Plugin Registration" and pasted it as
/plugin:"Plugin Registration"as a commandline-argument.XTB starts and runs as expected, but since I already have the tool installed, I can not see a difference.
If I change ExportMetadata > "Name" to eg. "Plugin Registration TESTING", copy the string to the commandline-arguments, and then run the assembly with XTB, I see a message "Tool ' Plugin Registration TESTING' was not found. You can install ..."
