unable to install vcrun2022

Describe the bug
Currently attempting to mod one of my steam games & while following several guides to get it working using proton tricks, ive found an issue with the installation process of vcrun2022. the gui for installation pops up, I click "install", it completes, i close it. then it re opens for installation, i click install, then error that its already installed, however when i go to check its installation status in protontricks, the check mark in the box is not visible

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1.launch protontricks
2. selected cyberpunk 2077
3. default wineprefix
4. install a windows dll or component
5. select vcrun2022
6. installation menu for vcrun2022 opens
7. hit install
8. hit close
9. it opens again
10. hit install
11. error its already installed
12. goes to check installation
13. checkbox for vcrun2022 is blank

• Protontricks installation method: community package or flatpak (unsure)k
• Protontricks version: protontricks (1.14.1)
• Steam version: no beta chosen, latest (july 2026)
