Linux Version Without Electron?

Dear developers,
Thank you very much for this program which I like running on my linux laptop, since it is the solution that uses the less battery when compared to all browsers available with graphics acceleration enabled.

I was wondering if it was planned to create a version without Electron and if such an hypothetical solution would reduce battery usage even more.
