Thank you.
I am able to open each text file one by one in Fossify File Manager and then in Fossify Notes following your instructions.
However the inability to import bulk txt files to Fossify Notes, and the horizontal arrangement of notes, instead of vertical for easier scrolling and browsing, are too limited for using Fossify Notes for multiple notes.

That explains why `.txt` files are unavailable in that picker; renaming a text file to `.json` won't convert it.
For a plain text file, try opening it from your Android file manager with **Open with → Fossify Notes** instead. The [main activity](https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Notes/blob/da6e7a9a9026cdaf3f738d71b6098236f0961a89/app/src/main/kotlin/org/fossify/notes/activities/MainActivity.kt) has a separate `ACTION_VIEW` path for opening documents, and a text-sharing path for creating a note from shared text.
If the file manager doesn't offer Notes, open the text in an editor and share the **text content** to Notes, or copy it into a new note. Those are individual-file/content workflows; the Settings importer isn't currently a bulk `.txt` importer. Including your Notes version and file-manager name would help if the Open with route is also unavailable.

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I am trying to import notes as txt files into Fossify Notes. I got to Settings, Import Notes, then browse to the txt files. They are listed but I cannot select them.
