Great software! I am using Bambu Slicer, and I would love to see advanced calibrations included as well. In particular, the most difficult things I find to calibrate are:
For the things that cannot be saved to a filament profile, the software could instead either save a set of references, or guide the user toward creating a process preset as well. Hope that helps. Great work. |

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m currently working on a pretty substantial update to the Filament Calibration Wizard to introduce real slicer integration.
🚀 The Goal
The main objective is to cut out the annoying back-and-forth between PerfectFit and your slicer. I want to completely remove—or at least drastically minimize; the repeated manual profile editing you have to do throughout the calibration workflow right now.
Because this involves some major architectural changes, it will likely be at least a week before I have a testable build ready. In the meantime, I’d love to get your feedback on how the Wizard feels as it exists today so I can bake your input into this next release.
🔍 What I'm Looking For
To keep things organized, I'm splitting feedback into two main buckets:
1. Immediate Fixes (Can likely be addressed in this upcoming slicer update):
Guidance: Any calibration steps or text that feel confusing, unclear, or flat-out wrong.
UX Speed: Ways to streamline or speed up the workflow for power users.
Onboarding: Places where beginners get stuck or where we need better tooltips/explanations.
2. Future Roadmap (Longer-term features):Feature Requests: New tools, specialized calibration tests, or future slicer integrations worth considering down the road.
📋 How to Drop Your Feedback
When you reply, please include a few quick details so I can reproduce or categorize the issue:
What you're working with: Which slicer you use and your general 3D printing experience level.
The Workflow: The exact stage of calibration you are referencing.
Visuals: Screenshots or specific data examples (these help immensely!).
Whether something feels broken, sluggish, confusing, or is just plain missing, I want to hear about it. Thanks for helping make PerfectFit better!
